I found Michele's obituary and thought everyone would like to read it:

Michele Matthew-McNabb

Michele Matthew-McNabb 55, of Livermore, lost her courageous battle with liver cancer on Wednesday night October 10, 2007. In her final days after the brief illness, her family and friends showed amazing love and caring to the very end. Michele valued her family more than anything on earth. She leaves behind daughter Jennifer, husband Brock, grandson Blake and grand daughter Brianna of Manteca along with her son Tommy, his wife Julie and grandson's Luke and Jack of Grants Pass, Oregon. Michele had four brothers, Gill (deceased), Greg, Hudson, Colorado, Gary, Scottsdale, Arizona and Eddie, Rancho Bernardo, California. The newly wed also leaves behind her husband Steve McNabb. Michele's love was not limited to humans. She adored her daschunds, Chelsey and Jesse. Over the course of her life she ran into some very difficult times but that never stopped her from trying to better herself. Her greatest accomplishment was raising two great children in Jennifer and Tommy. Her interests were varied as she loved skeet shooting along with arts and crafts to name two. She also possessed a remarkable sense of humor filled with wit, sarcasm and genuine love. An example of her humor was evident when she went to visit her son Tommy in Grants Pass, Oregon. He bought her an airline ticket to the airport in Medford, Oregon. Michele wasn't the greatest detail oriented person. She actually flew into Eugene, Oregon, 3 hours from Medford. Tommy circled the airport for several minutes and called to asked her where she was waiting. Her answer was, I'm in front of the airport. He asked again, what city are you in? She replied, I'm in Eugene. She didn't bat an eye when her son said, Mom, I need to put you on a bus. She managed to make some new friends on the bus trip and finally found her way to her son who greeted her with a hug and a smile. It's not a stretch to say that Michele loved a good party and she has invited you to celebrate her life on Saturday October 20, 2007, time and location to be determined. Vitas Hospice of Newark, California was with her during her final days and a donation in Michele Matthew-McNabbs name would be the kindest gift you could give in remembering a beautiful mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, wife and friend.

I just joined this site and what a great job they have done putting it together.  I found Michele's memorial and wanted to provide more information.  Michele was my sister in law for 10 years as my sister, Cathi, was married to her brother Greg Cruz (both also from Amador High).  Michele was survived by 3 brothers, Greg, Eddie and Gary her brother Gilbert had already passed away.  I was a bridesmaid in her wedding but we drifted apart as our lives took different paths.  I remember Michele as being a very sweet person and a lot of fun to be around.  When my sister and I get together we reminisce about our younger years and Michele is always fondly remembered.

I knew Michelle from the time we were in about 3rd grade I believe. She lived in Sunol then and we were friends. I moved out of CA in 1970 but connected with her a few times when I'd return home to visit family. She was sweet and the world was a better place for her being in it.
