Ah yes, YEARBOOK adviser/teacher. She was terrific. Yearbook was one of the very few things I got involved with in my sheltered life, she made it all the better.

Dotty Davis - Young, Fun and an Inspiration .. Yearbook 1970 - New Ideas ... and a lot of laughter, and a good friend. As I understand, cancer dropped in, and took her away.

It was so fun having a teacher/yearbook advisor who was only a few years older than us, who could relate to a lot of the things we wanted to do!  She went to bat for us several times when we wanted to do things that older teachers disagreed with.  She made a big difference in my enjoyment of yearbook.

This is years late but yearbook class put me on the road to my career in photojournalism and television produciton.  I can't say enough about how she inspired me to move ahead with my dreams.  I only hope she knew the respect we had for her...even as we made her life difficult with some of our wild ideas.

Dotty Davis...she let us call her Dotty!  She had a great impact on my life as did all of the students in Yearbook class.  I learned so much from that one class because, as it turned out, it was so much like real life.  We had conflicts and compromises and last minute decisions to make and Dotty let us fumble through and work them out, but was always there to help.  She was taken much too soon.
