Children:
Ah, the "Children" standard question.. (yawn), But, as I've said, my 12 y/o Cheyna and my 10 y/o Rudi More…- Mini Dachshunds, fabulous stubborn German kids! They never cease to challenge and demand their desires, food NOW!

Marriage, and then children, - an elusive concept - given who we all are in 2010. After a 29 Day "Ocean Crossing," on a 33' Gaft Rigged Wooden Ketch with 2 others in 1977, Hawaii to California (Skipper, 21, New Mate 18, myself 25 - 2nd in charge and Menu Planner 30 + 30 survival days), .. I had a great deal of time to "look at the sky in the middle of the Ocean" ......

After returning to my home in Hawaii, I soon "came out" and found the world in an entirely new way. Wow, All the horrific hatefulness - behind me, then, now and forever. I am A GAY - Get out of MY way - Equality Forever Activist. (Tommy Elsnab, RIP, a brave soul, we reconnected in SFO in the 80's, hiv/aids - early on - and I won't tell the Karen Elsnab story when we were both living on Maui!).

So, more thoughts to come here in the "children" section! ... I prefer to call this, my HUGE family Section.
Comments:

Website development, not something I've had any training in, this product is superb to work with. A great find and a perfect way to provide a permanent "Home" for AHS70 Alumni. Still learning a great deal about the functionality of the Website, it can do amazing things, much of which requires a lot of reading and ... wrapping your mind around. HTML code is ... tricky.. and not something I just "get" .. Fun Though, ... learning new stuff!

I remain a very ACTIVE Civil Rights Activist. In 1965 - what I saw happening in our Country astounded me. It sadly, continues. I am an Un-Equal Citizen. I am Denied Civil Access To Civil Rights. 2010.

Currently serving on our HOA Board of Directors, year 3 began at the end of March, thus far, a great experience. Year 1, Treasurer, Year 2, President, and now Vice President, the "cruise job." Fortunately, our Association (500 Homes), is in good order and while we do have our challenges, the work is always moving forward.

School Story:

It's great to look back at the Pleasanton years - many fun years with so many good people. Appreciating all of it, and Amador High was a pretty darn good school. Major Fun times .. and of course, the tough times, The Teen Years are ... an interesting phase of the "early years."

OK.. A Few Stories. TP'ing Virginia Patten's House (My Neighbor and I still love her) - one of the best Teachers ever! Mrs Casella - 6th grade - you too! Hay Stack Parties - How did we EVER get away with those? I Still Ponder Our Crazy Hay Stack Parites? Driving The Hill Roads for HOURS - Jim Duncan, Scott Hackett ..... Swimming and Diving in The Pitts ... Sneaking out into Bonde's Lands with tons of friends and neighbors over the years .. even After HS .. !

Leaving High School for 2 months and moving to Tahoe - and coming back at the end of March 70.. long story .. and coming back was great - especially ditching PE after the Lap ......! NO Baseball for me - ! (Coach V wouldn't let me back on the Swim Team, had to do Spring PE - well, but for skipping out after the lap, only got caught once).

I can't throw a BASEBALL even today. I can still Swim and did swim in the 1998 Gay Olympics in Amsterdam with Team Dallas Aquatics. (And hold two Top Ten US Masters Swim Records from the event). Who cares about a baseball! :-)

Dotty Davis was amazing! Being the Business Editor of our Senior Yearbook, an honor.

Freshman Year - IWE - Switchboard in Admin on the old - realllllly old switchboard! Like plugs everywhere - how DID I figure out how to do that?

Getting Kicked Out of "OTTO's" class (again) for wearing my shirt out - after the rules -CHANGED- Mr Connolly was a friend, thank goodness!

June Winter chewing Janice and I out for Doing It In The Road ... (laughing - ALL of us, including June).

Billie Roach - Neighbor and Friend - We had a fabulous Slumber Party in around 1973 - at Burton's Truckee Place - with Gladys (Rich's Mom) - oh did Billie let me know how much "They" Knew.. laughed and laughed! P-Town - Amador .. What lucky people we all are! Yes, we had our tough times, .. yes we did. We also had Pleasanton, Dublin, and Amador! And Still Do!

You have always been most gracious. Thank you Rex for your part in the arranging and participating in the reunion. Having some
event planning I know how it much thought and consideration it takes. I wanted you to know it was appreciated. Well done.

Rex----about 15 years ago i stayed at hotel long 680---and the Fremont High Class of 1960 was having their reunion----so by everyone staying in the same hotel there is more time for visiting. I vote for a motel along 680.
