Rick Manchen, 55
OCEANSIDE - Rick Andrew Manchen, 55, died Sunday, March 25, 2007.
Born Dec. 13, 1951, in Oakland, he lived in Oceanside for three years.
Mr. Manchen was preceded in death by his father, Richard Manchen.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Manchen of Oceanside; and sisters and brother-in-law Robin and Bill Baxmeyer and Janet Kidd.
A private cremation is planned.

Ric had an amazing career for many years in New York City doing Interior Design. On my visits to NYC, our timing to meet up never worked out, but I loved hearing great stories from Jane Terry (Chic) and more recently, Carol Mason (Tregenza). Ric even did work for the Lennon's at The Dakota - prior to John's murder long ago now. Ric was a good friend, and we never had the chance to talk about the difficult times .. life in the 60's .. Rest Ric, ... you are not forgotten.

I loved Ric. He was my Juinior Prom date. He came over one afternoon and said, "are you going to the Prom?', "no I said." So he said, 'how about we go together?" We did. He was a wonderful guy. Sweet.
I looked for him for years and was so sad I found out where he not long after he died.
