I did not know Sue in high school but hired her some 20 years later to work in my group at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. We laughed when she showed up for the interview and we recognized each other. We immediately discovered that we both shared an incredible passion for cats and became very good friends for the next 16 years. We went our separate ways when I retired in 2005 and moved away. I was shocked to hear of her death in 2008. I think of her often...
