I rarely go to the class site, but just did. I can't say how sad I was to read that Dave passed away. We had great times together back in high school. Last time, I saw him, now 30 years ago, he was teaching at Amador, living in a wonderful home in Pleasanton, and had a lovely wife and daughter. I'm glad he was able to have "the American dream". He was a warm, funny, and vibrant guy, and a good friend back in the day. Condolences to his family and especially to you, Rich.
Yeah, dave popped by my office a few times over the years for short visits. Very unexpected but welcome. Once it was to give me a newspaper clipping he uncovered from our soccer days. Probably the most hideous picture of me I can recall. I looked like the ball had just hit me in the face. He did it just for the laugh! By the way, hi Charlie. Hope all is good.
Dave was a good guy but he also could fire you up! He woke me from a nap one day back in 1978 to badger me until I agreed to help him coach soccer at Foothill HS. If it hadn't been for him I would have probably been the crabbiest mail carrier in Richmond, CA. Instead, I spent 35 years in education and found my calling....Thanks again Dave!!
Hard to believe he's gone. I lived right down the street from Rich and Dave during our HS days.....he was a great guy and friend. Lots of good memories. The good ones always go too soon.

So sad to hear David passed. We've lost several class mates this year.
